Attain the Practical and Theoretical Knowledge and Skills Needed to Establish Yourself as an ELITE Fitness Professional
PURE PHYSIQUE offers an apprenticeship program for aspiring and experienced personal trainers through the International Association of Resistance Trainers (I.A.R.T.). This program is designed to give trainers the opportunity to put their education into action by working hands on with individuals and helping them achieve their specific fitness objectives. The process is much like a doctor having to complete a residency before earning the distinction of being a physician. Trainers enrolled in the program will be contributing to the daily operations of the training studio, working side by side with other trainers and PURE PHYSIQUE members in order to further their education and hone their skills as a fitness professional.
The course work and testing is designed specifically to help you...
* develop theoretical knowledge and understanding of the 7 Prinicples of Exercise Science
* hone your analytical and problem solving skills
* accurately asses each clients needs, abilities, and limitations
* devise a system for instructing clients on proper exercise form and execution
* learn how to develop and implement individualized training programs and workouts
* make fast decisions on the direction of a clients program
* improvise when faced with an unusual or unexepected set of circumstances
* understand how client concerns must be addressed
* develop a reputation as a respected fitness professional
All testing procedures--from multiple choice and written questions, to case study projects, experiments, technical instruction, and actual training--are intended to produce a confident, knowledgable, well prepared, highly capable, overachieving fitness professional...not just another run-of-the-mill personal trainer.
