Spicy Chicken Burgers


  • 1 pound Ground Chicken (see *note below)
  • 4 Scallions, thinly sliced
  • 1.5 Tbsp chopped ginger
  • 2 Tbsp chopped cilantro
  • 1 Tbsp smoked parika
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp coriander
  • 1 tsp curry powder
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1/4 tsp garam masala
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper

*NOTE: You can use regular chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces. See directions below.


1.Place either ground chicken or chicken pieces in a medium bowl

2. Add scallions, ginger, cilantro, paprika, cumin, coriander, curry powder, salt, garam masala, and cayenne. Let it sit for 15-30 minutes.

3. NOTE: If you are using chicken chunks, pulse mixture in a food processor, until coarsely chopped and well blended. If using ground chicken, skip this step.

4.Form into 4 patties and let sit in fridge for about 15 minutes to firm.

5. Heat grill to medium heat.

6.Add burgers and cook ~5 minutes per side.

7.Remove from heat and serve on a bun, or over field greens tossed with oil and white wine vinegar.
